Do your kids get a lot of homework? Mine do!- and I’m not even sure why…they’re in Elementary School. Aren’t they supposed to come home and play? This year my children get anywhere from 1-4 pieces of homework each day, in addition to their spelling lists. Sometimes they receive homework on Monday, but it’s not due until Friday. A lot can happen to that piece of homework over the course of a week… lost under the bed, accidentally thrown in the recycle pile, scribbled on by little brother. I wanted a safe place to put the homework until it was finished, and safely in the backpack to be turned in. That’s where clipboards came in handy:
You just hang the clipboards on the wall.
Each child has a clipboard assigned to them, and when I empty their backpacks after school, I put their homework up on their designated clipboard. You could also put field trip information, after school events, etc. on the board. This has been so helpful because my children can see what they need to do and prioritize what needs to get done each day.
