Gift Bag Organization
I don’t think I’ve bought more than 5 gift bags in the past 5 years. Why? Because I already have about 200, okay, maybe not quite 200, but 100…plus. If you’re like me, you save the gift bags you’re given so you can reuse them. Obviously, if they’re ripped, or in bad shape I toss them out, but otherwise, why not reuse that bag? So, where do I put my 100+ bags? Well, for the longest time, I kept them all in this huge tote bin, but I could never find the right bag for the right event. Then I got a drawer organizer from Target. (Similar on Amazon)
I grouped all my gift bags into categories: Child, Birthday, Christmas, & Everyday. I found some cute labels for the drawers…cause I do love a cute label! (You can print them free here). And, now my bags are much more organized!
I’ve seen a lot of ideas on how to store wrapping paper, and I think there’s a nice, simple, solution. I bought a wooden wastebasket (any wastebasket will work just fine) and I put it in the corner of my “gift closet”. Add your rolls of wrapping, and done. They don’t fall over, and it’s a small, confined space.
I used to keep all my tissue paper in a box. Yes, I did have it in rainbow order, but then I discovered a much better way: an accordion file folder. Just group the tissue paper by color and put it in the slots.
Do you have any great ideas for organizing your gift supplies? I’d love to hear them!
