I used to have everything just kinda “hanging out” in my medicine cabinet. I never really knew where anything was; I just rummaged around until I found what I needed. I decided it was time to get the cabinet organized!
To start, I removed everything from the cabinet and washed down the shelves (honestly, not sure I’d done that before).
Next, I checked all our medications and sunscreens for the expiration date. (If it’s past its time, throw it out). Then I grouped similar items together and put them into some handy little containers from The Container Store. (I couldn’t find the exact ones anymore, but here’s something similar).
I’m a firm believer in labels. I just think that when something is labeled, 1.) it’s easier to find things and 2.) the things are more likely to get put back where they belong. I found these cute labels here. I printed them off and “laminated” them with clear contact paper to avoid them getting wet; punched a hole through the top and tied them on with a ribbon.
