Natural DIY Fabric Softener

This homemade fabric softener is made with two simple ingredients and can be made for just pennies per load

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Cups Vinegar Feel free to adjust the amount based on the size of your bottle
  • 40 Drops Essential Oil

Supplies

  • Glass Bottle with Lid For Storage
  • Liquid Measuring Cup or Funnel Optional- Helps with pouring

Instructions
 

  • Add 4 cups of vinegar to a glass bottle using a liquid measuring cup or funnel for more control over the pouring process
  • Add 40 drops of essential oil to the vinegar (essentially add 10-15 drops of essential oil per cup of vinegar)
  • Place the lid on the bottle and shake to combine the vinegar and essential oil
  • To use: add 1/4-1/2 cup fabric softener to the fabric softener compartment on your washing machine prior to starting the load of laundry
